Dehradun: The newly elected president of the Rajasthan Football Association met the top brass of the All India Football Federation in New Delhi recently. The new president of Rajasthan football Manavendra Singh called upon AIFF president Praful Patel.
The AIFF website carried a report on the election of the Rajasthan Football Association and disclosed the AIFF observer sent for the polls. Incidentally, the DehradunFootball.com has been fighting for transparency in Uttarakhand football since the past four year and despite raising many issues the AIFF has not taken any serious not of the complaints made to the apex football body.
That clearly shows the poor football administration. The apathy towards cleaner sports by AIFF, forced the DehradunFootball.com to launch a movement via using RTI. The All India Football Federation was badly bashed by the Central Information Commission last week.
The AIFF should be solely blamed for the miserable condition of football in the country. If AIFF carried report on the recent election of Rajasthan Football Association and even sent an official observer for the polls. Despite receiving repeated complains from Uttarakhand no such things has been do far here. Nobody knows when and how the election of the Uttarakhand Football Association takes place. Who the office bearers are? Presently we are fighting a battle against AIFF for obtaining local address of Uttarakhand Football Association president Ravindra Kishan Gaikwad.
Had the AIFF conducted the Uttarakhand Football Association elations alike the Rajasthan Football Association, they could have put breaks on many manipulations in the hill state. In the process to hide the bad works of Uttarakhand Football Association, the AIFF is earning a bad reputation. Now people clearly understand why the FIFA ranking of India is going down every year. And the public now know there is little hope of India making any impressive progress in world football.
According to the AIFF website, “Mr. Singh was declared elected unopposed as the President of the Rajasthan FA for a four-year term by Dr. Rekha Gupta, the Election officer & Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Rajasthan, after elections for the Rajasthan Football Association were held at Rajasthan Sports Council Meeting Hall, SMS Stadium Jaipur on August 27 as per the orders of the High Court of Rajasthan.”
The elections were conducted by Election officer under the overall supervision of Justice V.S Dave (Retired), the High Court appointed Arbitrator and observers Lt. Col BMR Mehta (Retd) from AIFF, Mr Subrat Sen (Sports Council of Rajasthan and Mr Ramavtar Jakhar (Rajasthan State Olympic Association).
Why not conduct the Uttarakhand Football Association elections on the same pattern?
