Overwhelming response to Bhawanipur FC selection trial in Doon

Dehradun: A record 160 players attended the selection trial of Kolkata based Bhawanipur FC in Dehradun on Thursday. Twenty-eight players were shortlisted for the final selection to be hosted in the state capital on Friday.

The trial witnessed overwhelming response, with young footballers showing tremendous interest. The boys began arriving at the Pavilion ground from 7 a.m and as the day progress the stands were packed with participants.

Bhawanipur FC is one of the oldest clubs of Kolkata and they are in Uttarakhand for the first time to spot talent.
